the dixie chicks
Not only were they identified in the Time Top 100, the Dixie Chicks are receiving prominent coverage for their new album, Taking the Long Way. A feature story on NPR, and now the cover of Time.

I got the album on Wednesday and was very pleased to discover that the album as a whole is wonderful. rather than just having one great song. love the dixie chicks!

I heard three songs online; I liked them all. The in-your-face, we-ain't-apologizing one, another one about Alzheimer's (so sad, being someone else's memory, or...is it? I know it's devastating while it's happening...)
The other one was relational, I liked the jamming of it: Lubbock or Leave It. I'm still sorting its meaning out: temptation.... "how will I ever get to heaven now?"
