can i get a witness?

I'm just wondering. Are Koreans always late or is it just HUNJU?!!!! I can handle it though, because I am getting The Best tutoring on philosophy a person could possibly wish. :-) We had an awesome talk about the first two chapters in Moran's Introduction to Phenomenology. It's pretty complicated stuff, but fascinating. Sheer downright absa-tooting-lutely fascinating. Folks are welcome to join us, if you want, we're reading fairly big chunks every two weeks then meeting to hash out understanding. Today we went over the Intro and the chapter on Brentano. It's wild to imagine being back in the day just figuring these things out, like how to separate and/or integrate and/or comprehend the relationship between subjectivity and objectivity. "Objectivity-for-subjectivity" is the formulation that stuck in my mind... meaning (if I can wrap my head around this one more time)....whatever we experience or perceive as objective is always already conditioned by subjectivity...the question is "how the world comes to appearance in and through humans," or, as Husserl put it: "how does objectivity get constituted in and for consciousness?"

hhhh....Don't judge other Koreans through me. Usually I am not that kind of person who is always late if the meeting happens in the evening..hhh..But trust me..I won't be late next time..And I also had good time and get some useful senses about the important arguments in the chapters through the conversation with Steph..I also wanted to write some problems which we discussed today in this space, but now I am very tired.
Next time before we have the meeting, I would like to put some questions related to the chapters which we suppose to read on your blog, if time is allowed...

Ah, you know I am just teasing you! I was hoping a few of our peers might join me in teasing you, or tease me instead of you. :-) I like your idea of posting questions here. Next time we read about Husserl. Are you starting with some questions about him?

I feel like I have some small understanding of appearance/appearing because of the semester on Marion, but I am interested in tracing that, and also the role of perception....how does one ever bracket out perception itself? That would be like bracketing out the medium, in addition to the content, yes?

Oy! You already made me think hard and I just got up!

Okay, I'll bite. How can Hunju be late when her day starts at noon? Good for you all for thinking so hard. I can barely keep up with my classes. Phee

Steph, don't you already have four classes to read for?! How are you able to find time to have an additional reading group? What am I doing wrong?

The truth is I'm trying to get Hunju to meet me at 11 am and it IS before her day starts! But its our only mutually available time for serious study. (And it is serious! What a relief she got some benefit out of it too!)

Gee, I only have three classes to read for, plus this, but I have no other life! That must be it. :-) Actually, only Paula's class is massively heavy reading wise. This semester is feeling a heck of a lot more manageable than when I literally took four classes in the fall. THAT was insane (but it kept me sane!) Must I always live in the midst of a paradox? %-)

Party tomorrow - you all are gonna miss a treat. There's been some rumors of costumes and if I can find one.... (I'm sure we can feed ya if you wanna join us at the last minute). Or just schmooze.

but maybe you all are getting your dose now, this Friday night, although earlier Qianqing was in the computer lab, and Hunju and I were at the gym (she tried to hurt me, too) ...

Hi all! :):).... I just woke up (2 p.m.) and, unlike Steph, I don't think hard when I wake up. But I wanted to contribute... :(
