neuroscience

A WordPress blogpost categorized under “teaching” led me to this timely piece: Charlotte Mason on neuroscience.
Who has “the explanation” for the relationship between language and consciousness, philosophers or neuroscientists? This debate has been going on for a long time; its competitiveness ~ as if one side has an answer or can determine the truth ~ bothers me. :-/

  1. Steph,
Thanks for noting the post, though it’s obviously quite brief. Thanks also for decrying the unnecessary completitiveness. The quest for an explanation of such a collection of mysteries will, thank God, take a long time and require an awful lot of cooperation between everybody who tries to understand.
Do you think it is possible (or beneficial) to achieve a full explanation?

  2. Jake, I’m wondering if you could say a bit about the link you posted? It looks like a newsletter (?) regarding autism. I didn’t get a chance to read the feature article yet (on face recognition) but I am intrigued. It might be something I could use teaching interpersonal/intercultural communication. 🙂

  3. yes, it is a newsletter and/or an arsenal of resource info related to autism..
    but also related to neuroscience-
for some strange reason, i cant access the site here from work..
i know that many scientists are involved herein..
yes you might reap a lot related to forms of communication..
