  1. Steph check out the KCStar Guest Book entry I did. Whew, that was a 5 tissue ordeal, but therapeutic just the same.

  2. Christi, I’m so proud of you for finding therapeutic value in words and for sharing them with the rest of us. There will be 1000 days of tears and 10,000 tissues. Each time will feel unendurable. The pain will migrate around your body, trying to settle in your gut, your throat… this may seem weird, but I believe the less you try to resist it the more readily it will pass through you. I don’t mean it will get easier – that is going to take one hell of a long time. čÖü But if you can accept that this is the inevitable process, then you can let your body go as deep into the pain as it needs too in order to release it. Slowly, your new life will reshape itself around you.
    All my love, sister Steph

    Dear Rich & Christi,
    Its been a few years since we’ve crossed paths, but we still care about you and think of you with great fondness. We are soooo sorry for your loss. I can’t imagine – don’t even want to think about – what you are going thru. Thank God that you are strong in your faith. He will see you thru this.

    Dearest Son, I want to you to know how amazing your life, your love and your death is. I miss the affection we shared, your whacky humor and your physical presence in our lives. You have impacted many, many people who are stunned at your death. We know you are here guiding us…I’m holding on.
    Dearest Friends, you have awe-struck me and the rest of the family. I know God is ever present in my life by all the wonderful people he places around me. Thank you cannot be expressed enough to the outpourings from all of you. I want you to know I am cherishing every single card I read, every plant and flower, every dinner and food items, and all of your calls even if I can’t respond to them all, and every moment of your company. I/we were the honored and chosen ones to share him with you. We are all lucky; Sad and missing him, but still very lucky. Hugs to you ALL.

    Rich and Kristi..so many years have past since I knew Rich through Dos Hombres..but a friend mentioned your sons passing and when I saw his picture I was struck by how much he looked like his dad. Your loss reminds us all how fragile life is and prompts me to hold my own 13 year old closer. It sounds like he brought everyone he met joy..much like his dad. Im sure he will be guiding you with his strength and his pride for you all is beaming through his everlasting smile. God Bless you all. Terri Phillips Lunn

    Christi,
    This is Benjamin Rauth’s dad from the Rainbow school. We just found out today of Alec’s passing. I can’t imagine the grief you are going through and we are all so very sad for your loss. No amount of words will provide much comfort now, but do know that you have positively touched many children like our son Ben and we are very grateful for your tremendous leadership at the Rainbow school. You will be in our thoughts and prayers and may the peace of Christ that is beyond all understanding envelope your family and provide comfort through this very difficult time.

    Rich & Christi,
    It makes me so sad to watch you endure such a tremendous tragedy. My heart is breaking for you. I never got the privilege to know Alec, but it sounds like he was just as fun as his Daddy. Wild curly hair, funny, happy, everyone’s friend. You should be proud of the wonderful boy he was. My thoughts are with you.

    Kent’s, I never really knew Alec personally, but I knew Austin since Kindergarden and we’ve been friends that long too. Alec would say, “Hi” whenever we’d see each other in the halls of Red Bridge or CMS. My family and I will be praying for you. God bless.

    Rich, Christi & Austin – I am so shocked and saddened by the suddenness of your loss. I know that our Lord and Savior is with you and that He is tenderly holding your sweetly sleeping son on His lap. You will see Alec again one day when you join him in praising our Lord for eternity. I pray that God will send His Spirit to be with you and to grieve with you in groans that words cannot express. May He comfort and guide you in these dark and difficult days. The prayers of your Calvary family are with you also. Be not afraid; his victory is won! With all my love,

    Christi, Rich and Austin,
    Alec was like my son. A big brother to Zack. He shared the same birthday as my girls. We had such a great time when he was around. We have so many great memories. Just tonight we were singing some of the songs he liked. He was everyones best friend. My whole family is saddened with this loss. My brother was saying he had only met Alec a few times but felt like he had known him forever. “He lit up any room he was in”. The hole in our lives can never be filled. Our prayers and thoughts are with you. We love you guys.

    Christi, Rich and Austin;
    My heart aches for your family. Alec was such a joy as a young child, and it was nice to reconnect with him driving to Galilee last summer. During this time of darkness, take comfort in knowing that he is happily sitting with the Father. Since Alec loved music, perhaps you can take comfort in the song “Homesick” by Mercy Me. Blake and I send our prayers to you all.

    I met Alec in the 6th grade in middle school, possibly one of the first friends I made in middle school. We hung out a lot but when I moved we couldn’t talk as much. I hadn’t even thought about him leaving us at an age like this, he was so cheerful and happy. I will miss him.
