Steph check out the KCStar Guest Book entry I did. Whew, that was a 5 tissue ordeal, but therapeutic just the same.

Christi, I'm so proud of you for finding therapeutic value in words and for sharing them with the rest of us. There will be 1000 days of tears and 10,000 tissues. Each time will feel unendurable. The pain will migrate around your body, trying to settle in your gut, your throat... this may seem weird, but I believe the less you try to resist it the more readily it will pass through you. I don't mean it will get easier - that is going to take one hell of a long time. :-( But if you can accept that this is the inevitable process, then you can let your body go as deep into the pain as it needs too in order to release it. Slowly, your new life will reshape itself around you.

Dearest Son, I want to you to know how amazing your life, your love and your death is. I miss the affection we shared, your whacky humor and your physical presence in our lives. You have impacted many, many people who are stunned at your death. We know you are here guiding us...I'm holding on.

Dearest Friends, you have awe-struck me and the rest of the family. I know God is ever present in my life by all the wonderful people he places around me. Thank you cannot be expressed enough to the outpourings from all of you. I want you to know I am cherishing every single card I read, every plant and flower, every dinner and food items, and all of your calls even if I can't respond to them all, and every moment of your company. Rich and Kristi..so many years have past since I knew Rich through Dos Hombres..but a friend mentioned your sons passing and when I saw his picture I was struck by how much he looked like his dad. Your loss reminds us all how fragile life is and prompts me to hold my own 13 year old closer. It sounds like he brought everyone he met joy..much like his dad. This is Benjamin Rauth's dad from the Rainbow school. We just found out today of Alec's passing. I can't imagine the grief you are going through and we are all so very sad for your loss. Alec was like my son. A big brother to Zack. He shared the same birthday as my girls. We had such a great time when he was around. We have so many great memories. I met Alec in the 6th grade in middle school, possibly one of the first friends I made in middle school. We hung out a lot but when I moved we couldn't talk as much. I hadn't even thought about him leaving us at an age like this, he was so cheerful and happy. I will miss him.
